The Art of the Burn

Sculptural, hand made furniture made from solid Douglas Fir and cedar by David Flynn in North Vancouver, Canada. The Yakisugi or Shou Sugi Ban tables, benches and one-of-a-kind pieces for small spaces.  The process begins with a milling and building up of the material that is then sculpted,  burned and sculpted to create unique furniture pieces. The resulting  forms, textures and patterns are non tradition both in construction and form. These pieces create  elements within a room perfect for small collections and art pieces to be displayed.
